Welcome to Heidi and my new blog. We are excited to be able to communicate with everyone without having to actually communicate with everyone. Just kidding, we like communicating with you by talking and by other means as well (face-to-face contact, you showering us with gifts, etc.).
So, there are a lot of things happening here. We have all kinds of fun projects. I was thinking for this first post we would show you a couple of our top ones.
The other day, we were at the ReStore and we found an awesome dishwasher. It was a fantastic dishwasher and it was only 35 dollars so we went ahead and bought it. It looked really cool sitting all naked on top of our car (which was crashed into recently, but more about that later).
You may say, "Craig and Heidi, you don't have a space for a dishwasher, and your apartment is tiny" to which I might reply "Eh, oh well". We made some pretty awesome arrangements and were able to turn the dishwasher into an extra counter! We got some shelving for the top and the bottom (thanks again to the ReStore) and we put some wheels on it. We also got some connectors to make the dishwasher hook right up to the sink. Now at this point, you might say "Craig and Heidi, that is genius!" to which I might reply "Soy el genio del mundo". Anyway, it is working great and we are very happy not to have to wash everything by hand :)
So the other day I went to the Auto Salvage Yard. What an experience! It was so much fun, and I wished that I had had the opportunity to play at that place for many weekends for the past 15 years. It was so fun that Brice and I had to go by later to get the real work done. Anyway, we got a new door for our car at the junkyard, and it looks very classy. The key isn't the same (yet) so we still have to unlock the car from the passenger side, but it works pretty well! Heidi and I and our neighbor were even able to change the manual window guts to electric window guts like in our old door. The best part of all of this is that it makes it so you don't have to say something like "Craig, I enjoy your fantastic demonstrations of human flexibility, but how many pants is that you've torn this week?"
So those are our fun projects. They have been and will continue to be fun. We will keep you posted on what's coming up next!
Also, you should all know that I got accepted to the Environmental Science Masters Program at BYU. This is good news. I hope you're all doing great! Talk to you soon! (Face-to-face or otherwise)
-Craig
