Summer in Tennessee

 We moved to Tennessee for the summer for Craig's internship. Craig's friend wasn't going to use her car for the summer, so we made a trade. We bought her new tires and we used her car for the summer. It was a great deal since Craig had to be in Tennessee by himself for a couple weeks. We only took what we could fit in our cars, so it pretty much felt like camping in a house for the summer. Air-mattresses, camping chairs, ect. It was a super hot, but a really fun summer. 

I made the 7 hour trek with the kids. Owen loved being in charge of the pulley for the snacks/treats. (Oh and did I say, we left the buckets seats in Iowa so we could fit a washer and dryer in with the kids? It was tight!)

The Hacketts came to visit for Memorial day. It sure was a fun weekend of hiking, swimming, parks and the best popsicles!

The mascot from the Jackson Generals came to the library and gave the kids free tickets to a game. Drew was always looking for the dog whenever we were at the library.

Craig went with us to the library and found some books for the kiddos. Captain Underpants was a winner! Owen absolutely loves them and can't put them down. I'm glad he loves to read!

The kids loved playing soccer when it wasn't too hot. They kept finding me these pink flowers on a tree by the field.

Back in Iowa at the park. We came back so I could go to a doctor's appointment.

We're having another boy! Due the end of October.

Craig finished 2nd in his age group.

We made 6 super heros at Lowe's build and grow this summer. We couldn't miss one!

We had fun hiking, but no one was happy the next day. We all had a bunch of chigger bites! Ahhh! No wonder we were the only people on the trail.

Our friends, the Jensen's, made the summer so much fun. Our boys and their boys had a great time swimming, lighting fireworks, and playing nerf guns. They were so nice to us. Especially to let us come swim at their pool all summer too!
