One of the requirements for Craig's MBA program is that you have to go on an international business trip. They pay for a good chunk of it, so we decided to make it a trip and at the end of his 1 week course, I met him there and we stayed another week. It was a awesome trip and thanks to my parents for watching our kids for a week!

The World Cup
My flight was cancelled on Friday, so I had to come a day later. Then the flight was delayed. Luckily the nice gate agents opened the doors for me so I made the connecting flight to Argentina. It would have been a long night! Craig was actually in Uruguay, so I got a cap to the ferry and road the ferry to Uruguay. I was really glad to finally be in Uruguay with someone who spoke Spanish!
I think we went to the beach and watched the sunset every night. Craig was a good sport. He knows how much I love that.
He picked a good place to visit. I love light houses too!
The lady we stayed with in Uruguay let us use her bikes. We walked a lot, but used her bikes to come see this old Bull Ring.
I loved seeing these palm trees go on forever. Craig and I decided Uruguay looks a lot like Iowa, just with palm trees. There were a lot of corn and soybeans!
After we toured Colonia, we saw a tourist map and it showed a park to go hiking. We decided to rent a car and go check it out. It was really fun and had so many trails. I couldn't believe we were the only people in the whole park! When we got back to our place, the lady we stayed with said, "Why did you go there? I've lived here my whole life and never been there." I guess it pays to get on the tourist map.

Craig wanted to take home almost every dog we met . They seriously were the nicest dogs. They would just walk by you at the beach, but not get too close. If you wanted to play fetch they would. If not, they would just lay down by you. Craig talked to a local and she said that the dogs don't ever go by the local people. They just follow the tourist because they will play with them and give them food.

We liked how even the bathroom people had jerseys.

Thanks for making this trip happen! The kids had a blast with Modge and Podge!
Kent was too tired to make it into the other picture. So here's one with Podge at the children's museum.
